Licensed & insured in Colorado — Lic. #EC.0031482
AMP City Electric handles panel upgrades, rewiring, lighting and EV charger installs for homeowners and businesses across Arvada and the Denver metro — with upfront pricing and a crew that shows up when we say we will.
Bonded, insured, and permitted on every job — no exceptions.
What we do
From a flickering breaker to a full service upgrade, our licensed electricians handle it with permits pulled, code checked, and the site left cleaner than we found it.
Replace an aging fuse box or undersized panel with a modern 200A service that can actually keep up with the house.
Tripping breakers, dead outlets, flickering lights or a burning smell — we diagnose the root cause and fix it, not just the symptom.
Recessed lighting, under-cabinet runs, landscape lighting and dimmer/switch upgrades that actually match how you use each room.
Full or partial rewires for older homes, basement finishes, additions and remodels — done to current code, with drywall left ready to patch.
Level 2 charger installs sized correctly for your panel, with the dedicated circuit and permit paperwork handled end to end.
Tenant build-outs, office and retail lighting retrofits, and ongoing maintenance contracts for property managers and small businesses.
Pricing
Electrical work depends on your panel, your wiring and your home's age, so we quote every job after a short walkthrough — never over the phone from a guess. Here's what similar jobs typically run, so you're not walking in blind.
$225+
Covers troubleshooting plus most single-circuit repairs.
$1,450+
New panel, breakers, permit and inspection included.
$650+
Dedicated circuit, mounting and load calculation.
$3,800+
Priced per square footage after an on-site walkthrough.
These are typical starting ranges for the Denver metro, not final quotes. Every project gets a written, itemized estimate before any work begins — no hourly surprises.

Every job follows the same process, whether it's a single outlet or a full service upgrade.
Tell us what's going on and where you're located. We'll ask a few questions to figure out whether it's a quick fix or something bigger.
Same-day responseA licensed electrician looks at the panel, wiring or space in person and gives you an itemized quote before anything is scheduled.
Usually within 2–3 daysIf the job needs a permit, we pull it before work starts — you never have to chase paperwork or deal with the city yourself.
Typically same-weekOur crew shows up on time, protects your floors and finishes, and keeps you posted if anything changes mid-job.
Most jobs: 1 dayWe pass inspection, walk the finished work with you, and back it with a 2-year workmanship warranty in writing.
Warranty starts day oneIf something we installed fails within 2 years due to workmanship, we come back and make it right at no charge — no fine print, no arguing.
Why it matters
Electrical shortcuts don't show up on the invoice — they show up later, in an inspection report or a claim denial.

About us
AMP City Electric was started by Christopher Carlson after years of running commercial crews around Denver and getting tired of watching homeowners get burned by rushed, unpermitted work. We built AMP City around a simple idea: quote it honestly, pull the permit, and do the work like an inspector is going to check it — because usually, one will.
Today our team handles everything from a single stuck breaker to full commercial build-outs, but we've kept the part that mattered from day one: a small, direct crew, real licensed electricians on every job, and a phone that gets answered by someone who actually knows your job.
Colorado Master Electrician license holder; leads estimates and complex panel and commercial work.
Runs scheduling and permitting so crews show up on time and paperwork never holds up a job.
Handles most rewires, panel upgrades and EV charger installs across the residential team.
What clients say
Panel upgrade was scheduled within the week and the crew was in and out in a day. Inspector had zero notes, which I've heard isn't always the case with electrical work.
Had them install an EV charger and rewire a couple of old outlets in the same visit. Quote matched the final invoice exactly, which was refreshing.
Used AMP City for a small retail build-out. Dana kept me posted on permit status the whole way through, which made a normally stressful process pretty painless.
